What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Winter Blunderland

Those bell things

Are they listing?

Yellow snow

Stomach's twisting

Unusual sight

He's happy tonight

Gawking in a winter blunderland.

Gone awaaay
is the bluebird

In his plaaace
is a reinturd

My feeling is strong

That this is all wrong

Gawking in a winter blunderland.

This is really quite the bug-eyed snowman!

I'd just rather not see him around

He'll say, "Won't you buy me?"
I'll say, "No, man!"

"You've even got the penguins feeling down!"

We should kiiill
this with fire

I think thiiis
is expired

The way Rudy's splayed:

He may need first aid.

Gawking in a winter blunderland.

BB, My parents quote Frank Zappa all the time. Glad to see they aren't the only ones who will bust out with a line from him.

As someone who is working through some serious holiday-related depression, you really lift my spirits each and every day. God Bless You CakeWrecks!

Somebody really needs to record this and make a slide show to go with the music. MAKE THIS A REALITY, PEOPLE MORE TALENTED THAN ME!

Remind me not to look at the site while I'm giving a quiz! The students wonder why their prof is snorting!
This was my favorite CakeWrecks page ever!

I was scrolling through the post when I got to "happy" gingerbread man and had to call my husband over to see. So I started back from the top (singing the song this time) and when we got to gingerbread man, my hubby said, "He's definitely pointing north!" Gives new meaning to North Pole, eh? Ha ha!

December 11, 2013 | Unregistered Commentersandy

I seriously sang this... O.o The cheerful tune makes my eyes hurt less

What are those little things with eyeballs on the reinturd? Or rather, what are they supposed to be?

Sharyn, a masterpiece.
@Nancie, love that video.

It's a good day.

I thought those "bells" were human lungs. And the heart was missing. An x-ray of the Grinch?

And "Kill it with fire". BWA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAAAA!

"You've even got the penguins feeling down!" just about made me fall down with laughter. Well done, Sharyn!

As for the cakes - oh my. They're all hilarious, but I just have to wonder, *what* is up with that four-pink-snow-piles-and-one-brown-turd creation? It makes it all the funnier when you can't even guess what they were going for...

December 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterSeabird

Is it just me, or do those "snow balls" look like...boobies?

December 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTeal

i was told by some children the first one looked like mittens

December 11, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterkira

Oh, are something else! A really GREAT something else! I knew it had to be your writing before I even reached the end. And oh my, those cakes (I use the word loosely) are atrocious.
Hey Jen: Good job recognizing, and nabbing, the talented Ms. Sharyn!

OK - sad penguin is sad. But what I really want to know is what in the heck is that green thing in the background????

December 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterGroovyGirl

Sharyn, brilliant as always!!! @sending -- toooo funny! I'm laughing so hard that he dog is looking at me funny.

I'm glad #3 is so happy to see me and I'm still trying to figure out the random poo swirl on #5 (perhaps THAT is the reinturd)...

December 11, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterZippy

Oh man lol. Cannot unsee that scary gingerbread cookie. I don't even want to know what kind of accident it was in poor thing. I feel sad for the depressed penguins. They can't unsee it either lol.

You are the funniest man alive!!!!!!! You made my day man! And it was my birthday!

December 12, 2013 | Unregistered Commentersofia

I was gazing in awed horror at the first cake when I spotted strange, regular circles in the icing. Can it be that under that hideous attempt at decoration lurks - a dreaded CCC! Run!

December 12, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterMorag

Gingy's cousin, Flashy, is not well known because he's a registered sex offender and had been banished to Far Far Away. They do not put up with that carp in the swamp!

When I saw that reinturd I wanted to change
"In his plaaace
is a reinturd"

"scared away
by a reinturd"

cause that thing is just frightening!

December 12, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterGale

OMG, best post EVER! "Reinturd", love it! Laughed until it hurt!

December 12, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTaraLee

Oh my God that Gingerbread Man.
And those sad little penguins! :(

December 12, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterEmma

Brilliant...just brilliant!

December 13, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterRhona

I think the snowman is just reacting to seeing the "reinturd" hahaha!

I noticed the green thing behind the penguins before seeing the the slouching/barfing penguin in front...
WTF is that green thing !?

December 15, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterNerfbomb

Ok these are nightmarish. But damn it the penguin is too damn cute.

December 19, 2013 | Unregistered Commenterbijoux
