What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Oh my land! These were so funny. For some reason I was reading Mel's poem like a Tone Loc song. It made it that much more hilarious.
I worked with a german lady in a grocery store bakery who wrote out a sign for ass. muffins one time. I found it, brought it back to her, and we laughed so hard we cried. To this day, when I see her she still asks me how my ass muffins are doing. Now that's a good sense of humor!

Spotted Dick:

It wasn't a customer's weird sense of humor. ;-)

Bravo, everyone, I was practically rolling on these ass cakes! Ooops, well you know what I mean.

Seeing as it fits in with the maturity level of this post, I present to you "Spotted Dick"! ( StarB it's really a thing. My friends found some at the store earlier this week.)

"Spotted Dick in the can"
@StarB ("I shared the sign with a friend who asked if it meant "with spots" or "located visually".)
Wow, I wish you were kidding...but that really is hilarious! =^0.o^=

And while we're considering juvenile humor: it's a good thing there's a 69 to go with that ass. cream cake!

And why, oh why, are all these things in a BAKERY? I suspect these things will haunt me...does anybody else have any insights?

@SaraCVT: But, how about an "incite"? As in "inciting a riot"...which could conceivably happen if the stores insist on carrying those bloody-ugly pieces of--Hey, why DO they look like they're bleeding, anyway?? Ewww...!! =^>.<^=

Somewhere my old high school male chauvinist ex-boyfriend is laughing so hard he's falling out of his chair...maybe he'll break something on the way down... ;-)

I love this place. Really, really, really. (contented sigh)

Sharyn, mel and Haiku Joy are in fine form.

@Jodee excellent idea for mel to have a new career- I'd attend more weddings if he was writing the vows. I draw the line at being in one, however. ;P

@Ginger I went back and read mel's poem a la Oogie Boogie. Brillant, lady!!

I didn't want to have mental pictures of "flashing smiley ass", but I did 🙈.

Did you see that George Takei shared the Ass. Cream cake photo?

September 22, 2013 | Unregistered CommenterTeresa

@sendingtheclowns: I'm completely serious. The 1% LOW RAT MILK sign was there for several months. It was supposed to be "1% low fat milk". One day I finally found someone in the dairy department and I quietly pointed out the typo to him. He took the sign down. But the next time I went there, the ratty sign was back. I kid you not.
