What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

That Crowning Touch

Ok, bakers, time to make some princess tiaras!

Now remember, we want them to look like this:

Because reasons.

[deadpan stare]

Aaaaand... GO.

[wincing] Oooh, SO CLOSE.

Less close.

(Am I the only one who sees a star stepping over a puddle?)

What the...?

[softly banging head on desk]

I give up.

Let's just go back to making King cakes.

Farley Mowat died?! I didn't know that. D: I LOVE The Dog that Wouldn't Be. That's so sad. I'll have to tell my mom, I doubt she heard, otherwise she would have mentioned it. He's one of her favorite authors.
