Another "Victory" For Hooked On Phonics

I'll be honest, Brandi; I have some issues with this cake you ordered:

But with that said, you're right: the one you got is way worse.

David Bowie taught me that boys are made of slime and snails and puppy dog tails (and sometimes enormous pant bulges) but apparently there's another version that says it's frogs and snails and puppy dog tails.

Anyway, my point is:

Guess what that thing in the middle's supposed to be.

(And no, it's not a pants bulge. Sorry if I made it harder by bringing that up.) (And for that unintentional pun just now.) (Or am I?)

Because some cakes need no words:

Just desperate, silent screams.

(Bonus points if you spotted the dead fly.)

Score another victory for Hooked On Phonics:

Not that I can say much, of course: I can't spell Quinceanera, either. But hey, now we all know how to pronounce it!

And finally, let's see if you've had your coffee yet:

Once you spot the irony, it's TWO FUNNY.

Thanks to Brandi P., Katie O., Leighanne M., Kristen L., & Anony M. for crunching those numbers for us.

P.S. This is my new favorite belt, y'all:

No Buckle No-Show Stretch Belt

It basically turns anything with belt loops into an elastic waist. So comfy I forget it's on, slimline so it doesn't show under my t-shirts, and NO BELT BUCKLE to dig into my belly or unbuckle for bathroom breaks. Woohoo!

You know how stretch jeans are forever sliding down when you sit or bend, so you have to keep hitching them back up? No more! I wear this with all my jeans now. It's entirely elastic, so it moves and stretches with you, zero painful digging. I HIGHLY recommend for anyone well endowed with squish in the belly area.

A Picture Is Worth...Well, This Many Words

Say, just what kind of Mickey Mouse operation do you think they're running here?

Hey, laugh all you want; I'm just impressed they spelled it right.

It's like music to my eyes. Really.

Ok, not really.

And if you think e-mailing a picture to the bakery helps...think again.

Hey, a print-out of the entire Wikipedia source file still counts as a picture, right? Right?

Michael B., Jennifer C. & Jim H., Amber C., & Jessica C., I think I'd steal two icing roses in protest of that cake, too.

Spring means spring-cleaning, and this storage chain I featured a few years ago in Epbot's "10 Clever Ways To Display Plush Toys" is still a best-seller:

Toy Chain Organizer
You can use it to clip up toys, hats, scarves, gloves, greeting cards - anything lightweight you can fit a clip around. For less than $19 it's a great way to use awkward spaces in closets, behind doors, or even swagged over a bed or desk.
