What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

All Hail The Pink King!

Ever write an I and a C so close together that they kind of look like the letter K?

Why do I ask?

 Oh, no particular reason.

Thanks to Allison E. for the royal screw-up. (And how do you figure the baker knew to use pink icing?)

Jodee- I am just getting caught up on weeks of comments. (So sorry I haven't been here!) So sorry for the loss of your Mom. Prayers for your daughter and for you as you go through this difficult time. Prayers, also, for wisdom upon your daughter's doctors.
Love this community. I have been missing it!

A song--to be sung to the tune of "My Country, 'Tis of Thee":

My CakeWrecks-so I see- Sweet mess of GOO-ity-- of thee I sing! Land where my fondant slides, Down ev'ry cake-y side...
and looks disgusting, though they try--LE-ET Cake Wrecks ZING!

@ Jodee - I'm so sorry for your loss. Words fail me @ a time like this. As Craig said, prayers for you & yours. I hope your daughter is out of the hospital soon. I wish I could be there for you. Frankly, I'm itching to help in some way. The little voice in the back of my head says things like "Hey, your friend is prone to kidney stones but has been able to avoid them lately, maybe she knows something." Or, "What about that article we read a few months back about kidney stone prevention." Etc. (It's the researcher in me. I search & I search and I read and I search...until I find *something* that will help...and if I don't find anything (heaven forbid!), I just pray...

@Alison in Indiana - same as above, :-) just substitute 'hubby' for 'daughter' & 'depression' for 'kidney stones'...

@Both of y'all - hang there. I pray the ride ends soon...until then, be sure to take at least a little time for yourselves each day for Cake Wrecks and whatever else that makes you feel better - a hot bath, relaxation time with some peaceful music, etc. And thanks to you, Jodee, for including me on your list of favs. That means more to me than I could ever tell you. <BIG smile with REALLY RED FACE (blush!)>

@Jodee and Alison in Indiana, hang in there: the CW support group is pulling for you and your families.

"Pink King" is pretty classic, and "Birlhd" (and hopefully "ay") is a nice addition, but the more I look at the pink flowers the more I see something...anatomical. Ish.
