What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

If Cake Croutons Become A Thing, I WANT CREDIT

It's the day before Thanksgiving here in America, my friends, but ALL of us could stand to be more thankful for the little things in life.

Like turkeys giving birth to pilgrim hats:

And old Halloween flotsam:

For floating scarecrow heads:

Desperate store managers trying to get rid of old stock:

And spurting turkey cannons:

For turkeys with exploding butts:

("My bad.")

And sad pilgrim heads:

For goobles:

And gobles:

And all those many, many Thanks Given:

Not to mention all the bakers who actually think it's spelled that way.

For giant salads with cake croutons:

(I dunno. But I like it.)

And for knowing that, while you can't polish a turd, you CAN stick a paper tail in it and call it a turd-key:

But most of all, lets be thankful for our friends, our family, and for this guy:

Because, c'mon, look at him.

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, minions! Maybe have the pie.

Also giving thanks for Shannon R., Marah S., Lucretia J., Chris H., Sabrina K., Lee V., Sarah S., Juanita G., Pamela T., Christopher F., James L., Tanya D., & Diane G. Gooble 'til ya drooble, guys.

Methinks that "sad Pilgrim" is actually a leftover Hallowe'en pumpkin. Recycle, y'know!

1) Turkey giving birth to a hat? I guess that's one way to cap a pregnancy.
2) I want my mummy to tell me witch holiday this really is.
3) A cowardly football, (he's all yellow), that's been dipped in Rogaine.
4) The one in the front - I think it's a Dalmatian, or a Termite, or something.
5) I've heard of killing two birds...
6) Maybe Preparation H could help take care of that.
7) Put the Pilgrim on the coconut...
8) It's a browser for turkeys, but it's all fowled up.
9) These bakers and their goble-de-gook.
10) That this is a wreck is a given.
11) Lettuce leaf this bad idea alone, celery please?
12) You've heard of Winnie-the-Pooh? This is Tom-the-Poo.
13) The Crap in the Hat Comes Back. (Sorry, Mr. Geisel).

Looks like the scarecrow head started as a football.

I hate to break your heart, but cake croutons have been a thing in my family for generations. Coincidentally, so has Type 2 diabetes.

"Gooble 'til you drooble" made me almost spit salad all over my computer. I laughed an unreasonably long time. It's the little things.

To me, the first one looks like the turkey ATE the pilgrim, and he is rubbing his full, satisfied belly.

I, for one, am thankful for YOU, for the daily joy you bring to my lunch half-hour. Bless you and John, your friends and loved ones, and have a terrific Thanksgiving!!

This was just the post to brighten up Thanksgiving Eve. Thanks!

However, the title made me picture in my mind a turkey cake with fake stuffing coming out of it--little squares of cake. I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad this wasn't a real thing here.

That first cake--one of the most artistic cakes I've seen here. It almost deserves to be in a Sunday Sweets post, aside from the whole giving-birth-to-a-hat bit. And the random toothbrush it appears to be holding.

Cake the second: We try not to bring up our ghoulish relatives at our holiday gatherings, personally.
(No, but seriously, who came up with that? Why would they think that would be okay?)

Cake the third: Agreed that it was a football cake that drew the short straw.

Cakes the fourth: I enjoy how the sign says to have all these different animal cakes, yet none appear to be represented. And what is the black and white thing supposed to be? Kinda makes me think it's moldy…

Cake the fifth: I had to spent WAY too much time trying to figure out what the heck was going on there. This is more "poo" than "poo wang"…and not the good kind of poo.

Cake the sixth: BaconbaconbaconbaconBACON!!!

Cake the seventh: This just made me sad and I want to hug him. And then eat him.

Cake the eighth: Giigle
(skipping a few)
Cake the last: He's giving us thumbs-up, right? Like if the Fonz was a turkey cake.

This post would be fantastic to pull up tomorrow during slow times at dinner. Everyone could make up their own captions! Hilarity ensues! Thanks, Jen and John!

So, is the Turkey Cannon a "Tactical" Turkey Poo Wang, and does it have a bump stock?

The last guy looks like he's giving us a thumbs up. I'm thankful for that.

I am SO thankful I live in the UK and never have to lay eyes on these things in the flesh as it were.

Well......I just saw these, and heard a song in my head (in other words, out of nowhere)....
...something about "These AREN'T EVEN CLOSE to my favorite things....". .....from the musical "Merry Poopins". ..... Have a loverly day, all!

FYI: Mythbusters polished a turd. Sorry for ruining that for you, or did I? Gooble is the turkeys version of Google.

Laughing so hard at the turkey cannon. Oh man what a hilarious way to end Thanksgiving by reading these. Lol still cannot stop giggling.
