Sunday Sweets' Crowning Achievement

My friend Aimee has been celebrating "Tiara Tuesdays" for about a month now - by wearing a tiara around the house every Tuesday. Which is pretty fabulous.

So when I read that today is International Tiara Day, I realized the one thing Tiara Tuesday is missing: Sunday Sweets!

( The Cake Mamba)

Yep, cake + tiaras are basically a match made in pink frosted heaven.

Although they also have a more elegant side:

This bridal lace is incredible! Do you see the butterfly?

I'm not one to split hairs (heirs?) when it comes to sparkly head gear, so there may be some crowns in here, too.

I figured you wouldn't mind. :)

This one sort of has a crown and a tiara, if you look closely:

Plus it doesn't get much more royal than a bustle of Disney princesses.

(I've decided a group of princesses is called a bustle, but I'm open to more suggestions.)

(Also, anyone else loving how this has Anna instead of Elsa? NOICE.)

This one made me do a double-take:

The gold is so shiny, I thought the tiara was real metal at first!

I read that "tiara" can also be used to describe forehead jewelry and necklaces, so that's all the excuse I need to include this one:

(Baker unknown. Anyone?)

I think this is my favorite! I can't get over these colors together, they're so happy.

Plus the bottom trim looks like tiaras, right?

Oooh, this one reminds me of Cinderella's pink dress:

So, so pretty.

And I'm pretty sure this one is based on Breakfast at Tiffany's:

Those pearls are perfection!

I've tried to only feature cakes with sugarpaste tiaras today, but I have to make an exception for this one:

WOW. The dragon scales look like glazed porcelain, right? I love the color and the subtle shading, which is SO pretty with that antique tiara.

Now one last rosy crown jewel for our collection:

::Swoon::

Now that is a Sweet worthy of royalty.

Happy Sunday, everyone!
