For All You Mothers

Sometimes it's hard to tell Mom how much she means to us.

Other times it's hard to tell how she still puts up with us.

I like to think it's because of all the care and consideration that goes into the mother's day cakes we give her, though.

Or, ok, maybe it's something else.

Just remember: I LOVE ALL YOU MOTHERS.

And if I could get every one of you moms out there a cake of your own, it would be this one:

Sunday Sweets: Word To Your Mother

It's Mother's Day, Sweets fans, and even if we can't be with our moms today, we can still celebrate with gorgeous cakes!

Look at these cheery roses - I'd never have thought to pair them with black and gold stripes like this, but it's fantastic.

And check out this optical illusion:

It looks like this little guy just toddled out the doorway, right? Love the detail on the tiny toys, and all the floating hearts.

Metallic colors can be tricky to nail on a cake - and this is one of the best examples I've ever seen.  So sweet!
