Too Hot To Handle, Too Cold To Hold

I love the movie Ghostbusters. And I'm not talking about the kind of love you have for your favorite hair product, ok? I'm talking about a card-carrying, movie-quoting, geek-crushing kind of love. Don't judge me too harshly.

So when reader Corrie G. told me she had ordered a Ghostbusters cake, complete with the famous "no-ghost" symbol, I was psyched. And then I saw this:

Now, this beautifully executed Wreck worries me for one reason and one reason only: it means this decorator has not seen Ghostbusters. Oh, the humanity!! The misguided tragedy!! The horror - the ABSOLUTE HORROR!!

Ahem.

Sure, I know some of you are about to write in saying *you've* never seen Ghostbusters, either. [shudder] Consider this my "encouragement" for you to remedy that situation. It's not like I'm asking you to memorize the entire Bobby Brown rap from Ghostbusters 2 or anything - er, cuz' I'm told you'd have to be just crazy to do something like that... [cough, cough]

Wrecky Mountain Highway

For some reason Courtney wasn't happy with the "mountains" she requested on her son's birthday cake:

Can't imagine why.

So she went back and explained she'd actually wanted RAISED mountains, not just flat drawings.

Happily, the bakery agreed to fix the cake.

And here's the finished result:

Not gonna lie; this made me laugh way longer than it should have. I keep picturing a baker with an ice cream scoop, a big tub of icing, and a deadpan expression. Bwahahaha!

Ahem.
