They're All Mad There

Right, minions, let's do this one by the numbers.

Here's what Michael B. asked for:

Aaaaand here's what he got:

MichaelBar.ow.received.jpg

So something here clearly doesn't add up.

And if you thought numbers were hard - which, let's be honest, you did not - imagine the issues a wreckerator might have trying to recreate THIS:

Yep, someone wanted a cake Mason jar.
(I blame Pinterest.)

In fact, not just one someone, TWO someones!

Here's Someone #1's version:

I am raising a single eyebrow SO HARD right now.

Aaaaand Someone #2's:

Which is appropriate, since it's definitely bringing to mind #2.

And finally, Trevia ordered this lovely Alice in Wonderland cake:

...minus the teapot and epic "ONEderland" pun.

Even if you believe six impossible things before breakfast, this one's a little hard to swallow:

Though it definitely made someone mad. o.0

Thanks to Michael B., Crystal B., Stephanie H., & Trevia M. for taking the fall down that rabbit hole for us.

Here, this will make you feel better: did you know Disney makes Cheshire Cat slippers??

Cheshire Cat Slippers

Oooh, our 2 weeks of Florida winter can't get here fast enough.

Sunday Sweets Celebrates Fall, Basically

Happy Fall, y'all!

Yep, once it hits October I don't care HOW hot it is outside, it's time for autumn leaves on everything:

...and big chunky sweaters:

At least on our pumpkins. :D
Seriously, though, can you believe that's CAKE? I am agog. AGOG I SAY.

By now you've probably picked up that orange is my favorite color, so Fall is when I get to show you how well orange pairs with soft blues:

... and dramatic burgandies:

... and of course, bright purple:

Eeee, so fun!

Fall is also when everyone gets a little basic, but in the best possible way. I actually find it comforting that half the planet is hanging cute fall garlands on their mantels and reveling in a Pumpkin Spice Latte:

(Smetanka Cakes, Belarus)

The way I see it, if we can't share a drink together this year, at least it's nice to know so many of us are drinking the same thing. (Although I say that as someone who can't drink coffee, haha.)

And speaking of all those Fall garlands:

I want this one.

In the cake world it doesn't get more basic than a unicorn head cake, BUT, if you pumpkin-ize it...

BOOM, BABY.

Love it with the sunflowers!

Oh hey, I haven't shown you my favorite orange color combo yet:

Orange and teal is always my favorite - but throw in some bright pink and I'm EXTRA happy.

Also where do you stand on candy corn? Love 'em or curse 'em? A friend told me she loves the Brach's mix of candy corn and chocolate peanuts, and I have to admit, I am intrigued.

And finally, let's go out with either a 2020 mood OR, if you're a typical introvert hermit like me, just another Friday night mood:

PREACH.

I hope these made your heart happy, my friend, and reminded you to get out those decorations you love, bake something fun, or just go get yourself a PSL. Hey, you've earned it. ::hugs::

There's also an "I smell children" version at the link, haha.
