With graduation season upon us, it's time to once again consider that most impossible of shapes:

The lumpy burrito.

No, sorry, I mean that paper noisemaker thing you blow through:

I'm being silly, of course. We all know these are really bakers' attempts at... uh...

compensating for something.

Maybe if they anthropomorphized it?

In this case, "anthropomorphize" means "make it look like a poopy lollipop inside a beaker."

So: NAILED IT.

Speaking of things that've been nailed:

Well, I trust this has convinced you guys to always request a real paper diploma on your cakes. That way, you're guaranteed to NEVER... uh... oh.

This is our cat Suki, and she luuuuurves these sticks so much I figured I should tell y'all about them.

Silvervine Cat Chew Sticks

If your cats don't react to catnip, try these; they're branches from a different plant with the same effect. My cats happen to love both, but I prefer Silvervine since the sticks are less messy than loose catnip, plus help clean their teeth.

Even better, a 10-pack of sticks is only $6, and they last forever. It's been 2 years and I'm still on my second pack. Every couple months I'll scrape off a little bark to expose more of the wood underneath, which freshens the effect; the cats are EXTRA interested afterward. (The sticks have no smell for humans, btw.) Highly, HIGHLY recommend for your feline friends.

Marine Life

This cake was for a marine, so they asked the baker to write "Semper Fi."

Turns out, that was a little too complicated:

And these guys wanted the cake to say "Way to go, Jacob!" buuuut....

Hang on, I'm sure Jacob will explain this any minute now.
