11 Uniquely Chic Christmas Cakes

We're on the home stretch, my friends! Just a few more days 'til Christmas, and then we can collapse in front of the TV for a few days before New Year's.

It's important to pace yourself, though, so let's all take a mini break to swoon over these Sweet Christmas cakes I found:

I love that sprinkle tree inset, such a clever design! I bet you could press a cookie cutter into the icing to get the shape right.

The unicorn cake trend continues to give us even more adorable variations:

Reindeer cake! The gold-tipped horns are extra glam.

Here's another unusual design that has me smitten:

This fireplace cake is LIT, y'all. I love the 3D look; it's hard to tell how deep that inset really is! I wonder if you could actually light the candles on top.

You've probably noticed I'm after the more non-traditional Christmas cakes. When you've been at this for many years, it's always nice seeing something new - like this!

I love all this: the dangly ornaments, the colors, the free-standing wreath!

And of course I'm going to love a Cake Rex:

DINO-MIGHT! :D

Have you noticed that Christmas gnomes are all the rage lately?

(Baker unknown. Help?)

I can't get enough of these little guys; I even bought a fluffy white one for my desk. But I have to admit, these ones are even cuter in their little Christmas hats!

Check out the all the textures on this beauty:

That wafer paper tree in the middle is my favorite, but I'm also heart-eyed over the sparkly icicles!

I'm always a sucker for Sweets that defy gravity:

I hope whoever got this cake saved the poinsettia and hung it on a wall somewhere!

Oooh, here's on that brings the drama:

Proof that with enough gold trim, black really IS festive!

Or, if you prefer a softer look:

D'awwww. That coral and soft blue is close enough to my OTP of orange and teal that I am totally here for this. Plus I'm surprised by how much I like the little touches of red!

And finally, an ethereal beauty that's giving me Frozen Sugar Plum Fairy vibes:

WOW. Her dress is made of delicately iced snowflakes! This is decorating magic. Amazing.

I hope these gave a smile and a few minutes free from worry and stress, my friends. Remember to take time to escape and recharge this holiday! And as always, I hope your week is extra Sweet.

Oh hey, if you're shopping online this week, remember to check out my Amazon shop front! I have lists of funny gifts and clothes and toys and such that might help inspire you for those hard-to-buy-for types:

I Bet The Pillow Tasted Better, Too

Remember, kids, it's wrong to laugh at someone's name.

Unless it's spelled like this:

I hear he's a real gas!

(No, that's not really his name. Sorry, Dr. Goldfarb.)

(Bee tee dubs, did you know the Brits sometimes call a fart a "trouser cough?" I just felt that needed to be shared. You're welcome.)

Just another reminder that gender reveal cakes are a terrible idea:

I wonder how much awkward back-pedaling these mistakes have caused over the years. Like, that second celebratory back-flip better seem JUST AS HAPPY, mister. [glare]

Speaking of happy, a pro baker sent me this screen cap of a conversation with one of his customers, and it is, in a word, perfection:

Phew! Thank goodness she caught that.

You know how Mario Kart has Rainbow Road? Turns out Monster Jam has something similar:

Fecal Freeway!

(There's a "skid mark" joke in there SOMEWHERE, I just know it.)

This cookie cake was bare in the middle, so they asked the baker to fill in the big space with something decorative.

They got this:

Picasso, eat your heart out.

And finally, look, sometimes a baker gets really high, tries to eat a pillow, and then realizes she needs to hide the secret beer stash from the boss, ok? This could literally happen to anyone.

Really, the only mystery left is how that bottle is still full, amirite? Haha! You know, because drunks? In the bakery? Like, who are drunk while decorating? Am I being too subtle? No? OH GOOD.

Thanks to Carol B., Charmaine F., Craig B., Jill K., Stacey M., & Shari I. for helping me put the B in "subtle."
