What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

um, the Gollum and Harry cake? yeah.

(Hairy Gollum? eyewwwwwwwww that would be creepier than the current Gollum)

(and I also got the "applause" joke in your follow up post)

KarateLady, sorry, I had an attack of the sleepies last night and never booted up my 'puter.

Oh my gosh! I never thought I'd be happy to see a cake of mine on this site but I am smiling at the appearance of the butt cake. In my defense, I made this a number of years ago and it was completely intentional! A customer requested that cake, with those specifications, for her husband that had just passed his plumber tests. It still "cracks" me up!

now as Haiku:

cake's not really wrecked
though the butt of many jokes
thanks for the comments!

@Amy: You've made a truly masterful butt cake -- it's not here for execution, just subject matter. I'm sure the customer was thrilled. Like you, it "cracks" me up!
