What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

I Think She Begs To Differ

Thanks to Cathy C. for proving sometimes it pays to start over.

Is the picture being taken from inside the jail cell or outside it?

Things are tough all over...

Perhaps the wreck is not as severe as it looks… with all the recent news about see-thru yoga pants and such, maybe this is meant to say "new leggings". Perhaps. Or perhaps I need more coffee...

I guess it doesn't matter since it was "out there" anyway, but if you click on the photo, a name appears at the top edge (along with "newbeginningsmisspell.jpg."). It could be relevant. Or not! We're all in our own, personal forms of "captivity', one way or another.(Mine's called a "mortgage".) =^-.-^=

Maybe she's a panhandler, and has decided to try a new technique to get money?

She looks a bit like the Royal Kate...

Begging for what?

To Richard, Upon Being Released From Prison (with apologies to Richard Lovelace and Althea)

Stone walls do not a prison make,
I’m now out of the cage,
I’ll get some money, no mistake,
‘Cause begging’s all the rage.
I’ve got a bag to hold a lot,
I’ll get some cash for free,
Then you and I can run away,
And you can live with me.

@SuBee: sorry if you got our frigid air today, but I hope your mantra kept your blood pressure down…and good morning, SuBee….be warm!

I thought as Sharyn did! It looks like her "new beggings" is due to a release! I guess it's just a park fence, but even if it was spelled correctly it looks funny to me!

Actually, I first read that as "New Leggings". On the double-take I read "New Beggings". My first impulse made more sense. :-)

So glad I'm not the only one that thought leggings!

January 7, 2014 | Unregistered CommenterJodee

I thought perhaps it referred to the clothing she's wearing. You know, like "jeggings" are a combo of jeans and leggings, so I thought "beggings" would be a combo of a bathing suit and leggings. No?

Well, that proves the economy is still in bad shape. "Congratulations on realizing that looking for a job is a complete waste of time and that begging is the best you can hope to do!"

Let them eat cake!

Panhandles of glee.
Felicitous freeloading.
Supplicants, cavort.

Lol is she begging to get in or out? I just hope she enjoyed getting this cake.
