The Star Trek Queen

And now,

Another Example Of How Jen And I Communicate/Amuse Ourselves

Me, sorting photos: "Babe, have you seen this picture of the Queen cutting a cake?"

Jen: [spinning her chair around] "The queen's dressed as George Takei?!"

Me: "... no. What? No."

Jen: [squinting at picture] "She looks nothing like George Takei."

Me: "I said she's cutting a cake."

Jen: "Oh. Well. That's disappointing."

[silence]

Both of us: "BAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!"

Anyway, here you go:

Thanks, Ralph H., for inspiring that unforgettable image.

Oh, and because I was bored and it's only fair...

Note from Jen: In my defense, the Queen's dressed as McCoy before:

...I figure Sulu's next on the list!

*****

Y'all. Y'ALL. I was poking around for silly Star Trek products, and did you know there's a Sulu cologne??

But it gets even better, because then I found THIS:

Red Shirt Eau de Toilette

Since 2020 is over, I think it's safe to wear this now. Well, safer.

And from my other blog, Epbot:

Sunday Sweets: Winter Has Come

I live in Florida for a few reasons, my friends, none of which include having to wear two pairs of pants and 6 layers of sweaters. Indoors.

Yes, it's a frigid 67 degrees F in my office right now, and yes, I am a pansy. That's why I live in Florida. (See? Full circle.)

Anyway, if anything will make these frigid conditions bearable, it's a) my electric blanket, and b) some pretty winter cakes.

SO LET'S DO THIS.

Shining, shimmering, splendid! And Aladdin quotes aside, that misty forest silhouette is positively dreamy.

It says something when you start to daydream about wearing the fondant mittens. But seriously, how cute are these??

These soft watercolors are perfection. And did you notice the oh-so-subtle color stripe on top?

Ermergersh, you guys. Er. MERGERSH. Look!

Squeeee!
I love how the narwhal looks like he's policing the penguin. Like, "One at a time, now, no rough-housing!" And do you see the penguin covering its eyes? Ack! SO CUTE.

More icy elegance:

It's like a fire made of icicles, or a feathery column of smoke! Now, raise your hand if you want to see how they cut it. [raises hand]

Oooh, and here's an Aurora Borealis... in cake!

Gorgeous!

More cuteness for those planning a baby shower this winter:

I really like the lime green and gray combo.

This one looks like a porcelain painting:

You almost expect it to light up from the inside, right?

Ok, I know, I KNOW - this next one is undeniably Christmassy. But look!

Pastel sparkly prettiness!

And the deer kind of look like patronuses from Harry Potter, so, you know... BONUS.

I saved the best for last, though.

BEHOLD! It's me, in cake form!

Just add about 5 layers of sweaters on top. :D

Happy Sunday, everyone! Stay warm out there!

One good thing about sweater weather: NEW SWEATERS. So I thought I'd show you the prettiest one on my wish list right now:

Zesica Rainbow Block Sweater

All those pictures are from customer reviews, since the product photos make it look super faded. Plus it has pockets! Eeee! Need.
