What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Sorry, Kermit

Someday we'll find it
The rainbow...

The lovers [SMIRK]
The dreamers
And me!

Thanks to Myra D. for proving rainbows really do have nothing to hide.

I'm just glad the little white blobby clouds weren't placed at the top of the rainbow...

Hey -what d'you know about that? This is the very same cake that was brought UP a while ago! (It was on September 8, 2014, and entitled "It's a Tough Job, But Someone's Gotta Blow It".) Hey, what can I say? I never forget a face? I could say that I never forget a head, but that would be hard to say with a straight face. =^-.-^=

[Editor's note- Ha! Love it. This is one of those times when two people send in pictures of the same cake. Jen didn't realize and wrote this new take on it. I thought it was hilarious and made her put it up anyway. Hope it made you smile. -john (thoJ)]

Usually, I can guess what the bakers were going for (the effect of years of looking at unsteady kid art, I suppose), but today I really have no idea. WHAT is that thing in the middle doing there? Really?!?

Anybody has a more certain grasp on this, please explain. I'm confused.

I thought Erection Day was in October.

@ john: HELYA it made me smile! I'm STILL smiling, AND giggling--what better way to start a day? I love this place!

I second @sendingtheclowns' sentiment!

I must not be as pervy as usual today, because when I first saw that, I thought the middle part was a badly done turkey head and neck. Then I blinked and looked again...

Considering it's a CCC (ptooie!) AND they at least got of Roy G. Bi_ (because that penis is not violet!) we should all be grateful the wreckorater didn't blow it entirely. **

**I totally made myself blush!

The worst part is that it would have been perfectly acceptable & rather nice looking if they'd just left the middle open, but nooo.... they had to "fill it up" with pink frosting! And why go to the trouble of making two blobs of pink frosting, instead of a smooth stripe? One would almost think this was intentional!

I had a mouthful of lunch and nearly choked to death!

Jodee, actually they only managed Roy G B. That middle is neither indigo nor violet.

I'm going to try really hard to believe the thing in the middle is a penguin. A mottled, plucked penguin huddling inside a rainbow for shelter.

It's a penguin.

It's a penguin.

I give up. It's a penis.

Rainbow-weenie is silently judging you.

This would be a great cake for a gay bachelor party.

I need the crash cart over here! Can't breathe......
that is too funny.

We may not inow what's at the end of the rainbow, but now we know what's holding it up!

March 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterTLC

@Jane, I never really thought about it, but when you said it was a penguin, I was like O.O !!! penguin starts with the same three letters...poor featherless and freezing penguin-is...<snort>

@jbrecken; YES, yes it really would!

What a great place to come every day!

Gay Pride Penis Cake???

March 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterGary

Why are there so many dongs under rainbows?
And why do I think it might pee?

March 19, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBeth

@Jodee And @Jane would that be Roy_G._BP?

And it's a small, naked child, emerging from the rainbow to descend to the womb of her waiting mother. Isn't it obvious? This is the best baby birth cake I've seen on the site yet!

I wonder if this cake came from a bakery on Castro Street in San Francisco.

Oh man lmao!! My childhood recollections of the song are now forever changed thanks to the rainbow wang.. lol!

It is obviously the freshly sheared sheep from the Pixar short "Boundin'" as he leaps high into the air!

So I totally chose the wrong time and place to initially open this yesterday, and found myself doing a *giggle-snort-really-fast-phone-flip" to avoid over-curious, underage eyes... but it kept me chuckling to myself for the rest of a rather dull afternoon! Too funny. =-)
