What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Next Time Keep Your Shirt On, Dad

John and I are driving up to Atlanta for Dragon Con tomorrow, which means A) CAR SNACKS and B) this is an excellent time to post the best/worst geek wreck I've seen in ages.

AGES, I say.

Let me take you back to the most iconic scene in all of Star Wars, peeps and geeks. Our hero, wounded but defiant, looks up in disbelief as the dark figure above him utters the words that would change his life and a franchise... forever.

Oh hey, you're totally right! Thanks for giving us a hand there, Luke.

Hey Beth D., I've got a riddle for you:

Why is Kylo Ren so bad at dating?

'Cause he's always Ben Solo.

It's unbelievable the kinds of things these bakers will Force on people. It's like they just Leia in wait for an unsuspecting customer. When you Luke at that you can tell it's wrong. How can these bakers keep doing this and still manage to Lando on their feet? I guess they'll never be able to get a Jabba somewhere else when they screw up like this. You'd think after all the cakes that show up on this sight, that there'd be a Rey of hope that they'd change, but they never seem to Finn-sh well. What will happen to these Poe souls? Maybe someone out there can lend them a helping Han-d.

Didn't know Kylo was so big on recycling.

Not sure what's worse: the cake or Mike's puns!

Even if we discount the swapping of Kylo Ren for Darth, can we for a moment consider the circumstances that might have led to that cake ever being made?

I am dying both at this cake and the pun lmao...oh man my husband took one look and wondered if the wreckerators are from a galaxy far far away and I am still laughing at it.

James, I imagine it was ordered for Father's Day by a long-suffering dad who was told he could have cake and a gift, so long as he chose, paid for and picked them up himself. So he decided to treat himself to a Star Wars cake and have a gentle jab at his offspring. I admire his self-control in not running them all through with a lightsabre (Including the baker).
