What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

Of Newspapers And Key Wangs

Q: What did Sarah get when she ordered a newspaper cake like this for her Dad's birthday?

(by Jo's Cakes)

A: Something black and white and wrecked all over.

(On the plus side, at least it wasn't for a big milestone birthday or anyth... oh.)

I hear these guys are out standing in their field:

So do you think Kati needs help healing or falling?

Either way, at least we know what the baker could do better.

"Gimme an E!
"Gimme an R!
"What's that spell?"

And finally, how do I know this is supposed to be a car key?

Because I'm a sporty little number, and it's TURNING ME ON.

(Just kidding.)

(I'm not sporty.)

Thanks to Sarah R., Min, Kati, Edward P., & Jennifer T., who much prefers driving a hard... bargain.

Thank you for using our Amazon links to shop! USA, UK, Canada.

You see a dong, I see a bicycle seat but I don't think anyone could see a car key.

1) No wonder newspapers are on the way out.
2) Rice? Kelp? Seaweed?
3) She's obviously a stunt woman and this is her co-workers way of encouraging her to do better stunts.
4) And Baker - short on brains.
5) Looks like a bicycle seat. Maybe they're in training for the Tour De France.

It took me WAY too long to figure out what was wrong with the Marine Crops cake, lol! And I wonder if the first wreckorator has never seen an actual newspaper, only online news? But even then, the premise is pretty much the same, so...

I would love to meet the baker that stood back and said "yup, that looks good!" O_o
