What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

And Now, A Crappy Song From Aladdin

I can show you poo swirls

  Shiny, glistening, fetid!

Wreckerator, just when did you cast

all good taste aside?

I can open your eyes

Take you blunder...

... by bluuuunder

Cakey dreams torn asunder

as the giant cupcake sighs.

Day glow poo swiiiiiirls

A new, wrecktastic form of goo!

I think that WE should go. Let's TAKE it slow!

I hear the bride is screaming...

No more poo swiiiiirls!

They're just not something you should chew

So, let's be candid here:

It's crystal clear!

that gangrenous poo swirls

will never do.

Wonderful job as always. I enjoyed singing along.

Oh, where to start? If I found that green thing in the back of my fridge I'd toss it out, and the first one's not much better.

I'm not even going to ask where some of these bakers get their inspiration for these wrecks. Maybe it goes something like this:

Dear Diarrhea,

I couldn't think of any kinds of weird cakes to make today. So I played the new Milton-Bradley game "Constipation". But the ideas still wouldn't come out; it's like they were stuck. I was getting really uptight, so I took a chill pill, that I like to call my "re-laxative". Then I sat down to watch "Wheel of Fortune" and at one point I was so into the game that I screamed at the TV, "I want to buy a bowel". I was so caught up in the show that I didn't realize I had to go pretty badly, but I didn't make it to the bathroom and turned my Levis into dung-arees. After I got all cleaned up, I noticed my model pirate ship and thought about how wonderful it was and it had such a great poop deck. Then it hit me. I could make "poo cakes". Yes, some customers will think they're returded, but the kids with the potty minds will love them. It will be such a moving experience.

I swear some of those resemble sample from when I worked in a microbiology lab. O_o

That's hysterical that the Mr. Poo Cakes look nothing like the drawing in front of them. If the chocolate were good, I'd still eat them, though-they don't look That much like real poo! Great parody, as always Sharyn!

This is my favorite Cake Wrecks song parody in a long time! I was grinning from the first line.

Funny how the one that is SUPPOSED to look like poo, is the one that doesn't...

Another entertaining post! Jen & her snarky wit, John (thoj) & his clever stick figures, and Sharyn & her brilliant parodies make a winning combination. Brava/bravo!

I still wonder how they keep their jobs making things like this lol. It keeps me laughing daily that's for sure.

I think it’s hilarious that, after all the poo turkey wangs, poo butterfly bodies, and other not-poo things that look like poo here on Cake Wrecks, the one time somebody intentionally goes for poo it looks NOTHING like poo.

Hahahaha - I actually have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard at the photos, Sharyn's lyrics, & Mike's "Dear Diarrhea!" That poor bride in Wreck #8! I'd be flinging poo at the bakers for that one.

Haha, poo cakes. That reminds me of a time when we made a chocolate cake using a cat mould and some of it leaked over the edge, then my mother said "who wants to eat some cat poop cake?"
