What's a Wreck?

A Cake Wreck is any cake that is unintentionally sad, silly, creepy, inappropriate - you name it. A Wreck is not necessarily a poorly-made cake; it's simply one I find funny, for any of a number of reasons. Anyone who has ever smeared frosting on a baked good has made a Wreck at one time or another, so I'm not here to vilify decorators: Cake Wrecks is just about finding the funny in unexpected, sugar-filled places.

Now, don't you have a photo you want to send me? ;)

What's Mold Is News Again

The silent killer that lurks in your pastries.

Lurking, like a silent killer... WHO LURKS.

Yeah, like that.

Mold is responsible for untold deaths, dismemberments, and icky gag-fests the world over.

Plus it's gross.

But who is to blame for this malicious fungus of death?

[picture of grim reaper wearing a baker's hat]

We went right to the source, to ask the tough questions and get the exclusive answers that only Wrecks News can provide.

[video of well dressed woman running toward random baker]

"Sir! Can you tell me why your bakery hates America? And children? How many American children have you personally dismembered? Is it true you perform deadly experiments on the state park pigeons? What's up with that, you sicko?

"Hey, come back here!!"

[turning to face camera]

"Well, there you have it, my friends. Bakers hate America. Back to you, Sally!"

Thanks to our wreckporters Chris H., Rane M., Jill H., Amy S., Jessica B., Kate K., & Tami F.. Coming up next: can cake make you skinny?! The new diet sensation sweeping the nation!

Do you smell it? That smell.
A kind of smelly smell.
The smelly smell that smells...smelly.

Well that's the prettiest representation of the birth canal I think we've ever seen. Still disturbing though.

May the Mold be forever in your favour.

Mold, mold, moldy, mold, mold
Moldy, Mold. Mold, moldy,
Eww they're moldy

(repeat forever)

Moldy icing and off strawberries
Baked goods past their dates, throw them away please

Moldt, mold etc

Why has no-one stripped them off the shelves?
Inspectors should come and fine the bakers as well

Mold mold etc

At my first cake tasting, the lady handed me cake and walked away to do something else. The sample cake was MOLDY so I spit it out and pointed it out to the lady. SHE DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE. Needless to say, we didn't order from there. WTF BAKERS? And by bakers I mean #notallbakers

How much more disgusting can bakers/decorators get with babies being born cakes? What ever happened to a half sheet cake with yellow flowers and green leaves? I'd rather look at mold than an emerging baby out of some grossness.

I don't see any mold on the lady-flower tulle birthing baby cake. I do see a possible case of Impetigo on the baby's mouth.

Can I be forgiven if I found that the funniest thing about this post was the cross-reference to the Epbot post on "DIY Silicone Mold" (which I plan to try out someday very soon).

I refuse to accept that as being a birthing cake. Some babies come from cabbage patches and some come from rose gardens. That's a rose garden baby.

Just as I was reading this, my mother is telling me about the monsoon and flooding in my home town, and how everything was covered with mould. Haha.
